HIRIE is a San Diego-based 7-piece reggae band fronted by Trish Jetton, a Filipino-born singer who grew up in Italy and Hawaii. The band’s name includes an “H” to symbolize Hawaii, Jetton’s spiritual home. HIRIE’s music is characterized by island-inspired vibes, incorporating sounds of roots, reggae, and pop, while also utilizing Jetton’s smooth, sweet, and naturally pop-sounding voice to blend it all together. Jetton’s multicultural upbringing and her father’s UN career influenced her artistry and outlook.
Julius Amua-Sekyi, popularly known as Shasha Marley, is a roots African reggae icon from Ghana. He is noted for songs such as “Twin City Mafia”, “I’m Not Ashamed of the Gospel”, and “Maata Family”, among others. Shasha Marley has been singing since he was a teenager and has since been amazing audiences with his talents. The singer was inspired by other famous artists such as Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, and Jimmy Cliff. Shasha Marley is heavily involved in humanitarian projects in his homeland.
